Ghosts of Paragon Park 1971
On a cold winter night in the front passenger seat of a ’56 Chevy Mercury, homeward-bound after Christmas shopping at the Paragon Park’s Arcade Bazaar – a cavernous fluorescent-lit discount toy store in Nantasket Beach – my mom told me the heartbreaking truth about Santa Claus. About a dozen years later I visited Paragon Park while on spring break from RIT and took a few pictures. It was 1971. Somewhere in between, the Arcade Bazaar was lost to a fire. The amusement park closed for good in 1984.
